Pro's: It's inexpensive.
It looks clean and simple.
Lightweight.
Cons: They don't last very long.
When it breaks the door can fall off of the tracks and get damaged or cause injury.
Traditional torsion system will typically last over 10 years while Torquemasters often need repair after 2 years.

Overhaul your garage door every 10 years. When you change your springs you should also install new cables, drums, bearings and rollers. It isn't a good idea to wait til these items break. The door will stop operating or fall off of the tracks when these items break. $145 installed (normally $245)
