Home Depot, Lowes, Costco and Amazon
There are features that vary from professional garage door openers and openers purchased from Home Depot, Lowe's, Costco and Amazon but the biggest difference is the rail. We use 1 pc rails but the rails that come with the big box store openers have multiple pieces. They do it that way so it can be easily shipped and 1 pc rails are very long (approximately 8' long) and expensive to ship and they take a lot of floorspace. These multipiece rails have an issue where the trolly will jam at the joints and the opener will sense the pressure and open back up. If you don't notice the door has opened back up you'll end up leaving the door open. The Chamberlain openers are very good. If you end up with a big box store opener add a 1 pc rail to it or get a professional opener with a 1 pc rail to avoid this from happening.
